The Role
This is not just a job; it is a 12-month career launchpad. As an Apprentice, you will spend your first year working directly alongside experienced mentors. You will learn the operational, marketing, and sales systems required to successfully run an agency. At the end of the 12 months, you will have the knowledge, backing, and blueprint to transition into opening and operating your own insurance business.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn the ins and outs of health and Medicare compliance, products, and guidelines
- Assist clients in Grover Beach and surrounding areas with finding the right health coverage
- Shadow agency leaders to master day-to-day operations and team management
- Build and maintain relationships with local clients using UnitedHealthcare's standard-setting tools
- Meet weekly educational and operational milestones designed to track your path to ownership
What You Need to Succeed
- An entrepreneurial mindset and a strong desire to run your own business
- Excellent communication, trust-building, and relationship-management skills
- Grit, a strong work ethic, and the ability to study for industry licensing (if not already licensed)
- To thrive in this role on day one, you will need: A local presence in or near Grover Beach and a commitment to completing the full 12-month training program.
Compensation & Benefits
- Financial Structure: Base Salary + Uncapped Commission + Performance Bonuses
- Schedule: Full-time (Monday – Friday)
- Location: On-site in Grover Beach, CA
- Long-Term Opportunity: A clear, structured path to launch and own an independent agency after 12 months
