About Us

Founded in 1996, Pismo Beach Veterinary Clinic has long been a center for premium veterinary care on the beautiful Central Coast. As one of the only American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) certified clinics in San Luis Obispo County, we pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence in veterinary medicine. You and your pets will be treated like family, while receiving the best and most compassionate care that the veterinary profession has to offer. This is part of the reason that we have been voted “Best in SLO” several years in a row!

The founders, Dr. Suzanne Hennessy and Kim Foster, purchased the property in 1996 and began extensive renovation to convert it into a veterinary clinic. It has again undergone numerous changes since the current owners, Drs. Joel, Max, and Sarah Conn took over in 2009 in order to make it the state-of-the-art facility that it is today. Over the years, we have expanded our services and facilities to meet the ever changing demands of the veterinary field, most recently with the addition of digital radiography and a house call service. We are open seven days, from 8:00am until 5:30pm on weekends and from 8:00am until 10:00pm on weeknights. Although we will gladly accommodate daytime emergencies, we highly recommend scheduling appointments to avoid a wait. Our receptionists will do their best to get your pet seen in a timely manner.
